they outshot Tampa 32-15?

Just gotta find a way to beat Vasy and not ring the puck off his face three times per game.

Stinks about Nino and Trocheck... would rather have seen them both playing.

The Lightning did great in limiting Carolina's shots to low danger areas. I read that even though the shots were 32-15 in favor of Carolina the high dangers shots were actually 8-6 for the Lightning.

The Lightning can play any style and that is what makes them so hard to play against. They played two great defensive safe road games. I would suspect they might open up a little more at home but maybe they feel the safe style is best for this series.

Vasy if you never really watched him will amaze you and confound you at the same time if you are an opposing teams fan. When I am at Amalie watching the game live he is fun to watch from his stretches and warm up to during the game even when the puck is at the other end of the ice. What sets him apart is he is so consistent in his game but can also make the incredible saves when needed.

Why in the world this team refuses to upgrade their goaltending baffles me. This is a cup team if they invest in a playoff worthy goalie. The kid is not ready for this, and Mrazek and Reimer have spotty post season results.

For the first time in a long time I feel good about our goalie situation moving forward. I believe Nedeljkovik, who is nominated for the Calder, is our long term goalie. Let Canes fans worry about there goalie situation and you can explain how Pittsburgh's goalies had nothing to do with their early playoff exit. Not every team has a Vasilevsky between the pipes but the Canes goalies have performed consistently well over the course of the season and into the playoffs.
